Transforming Public Services

The May breakfast meeting was addressed by Dara Calleary, recently appointed Minister of State with responsibility for Public Service Transformation, who outlined for the group what his approach to his new brief was going to be.
Those in attendance portrayed a strong sense of a group of committed individuals who are sometimes frustrated but dedicated to running a good service to society. In particular, the Chairperson emphasised that ACESA members should be seen as a resource of expertise and front-line experience available to support the Minister and his colleagues in achieving the shared aim of transforming the Irish public service.
The feedback from members was very positive. It was a tremendous opportunity for members to interact with the Minister in a small group and express their ideas and issues.
