PUBLIC SERVICE REFORM IN IRELAND – AT RISK OF ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT?

The third meeting of 2016, entitled Public Service Reform in Ireland – at risk of arrested development? took place on Wednesday 18th May in the Chester Beatty Library.

30 CEOs attended the meeting, and all present found it extremely or very useful.

Professor Ruane drew on her experience of reform in the Irish public service to identify key issues and outstanding challenges in the decade ahead.

The talk focused particularly on relationships between (a) the civil and wider public service, (b) between central and local government, and (c) between generalists and specialists.
