Niamh is Michael MacCormac Professor of Management at University College Dublin and Founder of the UCD Centre for Corporate Governance. A chartered accountant having trained with KPMG, she holds a PhD from the University of Warwick, is a Chartered Director of the Institute of Directors (London) and has an MSc (Business and Executive Coaching).
Niamh Brennan is recognised as Ireland’s leading expert in Corporate Governance. She has extensive experience as a non-executive director/non-executive chair of several private sector companies and public sector bodies, including on numerous audit committees. She has provided corporate governance consultancy advice to many organisations. She chaired the Irish Government’s expert advisory committee on the governance and culture of RTÉ, the Commission on Financial Management and Control Systems in the Health Services, and was Vice-Chair of the Review Group on Auditing.
